Pat joined Firefly as a consultant in 2003, joined full time as Chief Technology Officer in 2004 and became President and CEO in July 2006. His career started with 18 years at Motorola as one of the first five employees of what would become Motorola's cellular handset group. His work includes the DynaTAC, MicroTAC and StarTAC handsets and he managed the product development of the world's first GSM cellular handsets. When he left Motorola he was director of analog operations, with $2B in annual sales. Prior to joining the Company he was VP, RF division of Microcoating Technologies, responsible for applied research of ferroelectric materials for commercial and Pentagon applications and prior to that was Senior VP at Mitsubishi Wireless. He holds BSEE and MSEE degrees and has been awarded 14 US patents.
Prior to founding the Company, Don spent two years working for Deublin, a privately-held corporation that specializes in precision engineered and machined components, where he spent the majority of his time as District Manager, responsible for company sales in the Southwestern United States. He also played a key role in both defining Deublin's Internet strategy including managing the development of the company's first web site. Previously Don worked as a Product Manager for Autoweb.com, responsible for managing web-based consumer tools to increased revenues and brand name recognition. He holds a BS degree in Finance and serves on the board of The Hermitage Foundation.
Mike joined the Company in 2006. Prior to joining Firefly Mobile he was VP and CFO of Aquent Marketing Staffing, an outsourced staffing company specializing in marketing professionals. He joined Aquent as part of their acquisition of Corporate Project Resources, Inc., an acquisition that he negotiated for CPRI. He has also spent several years at Ernst & Young and American Express. Mr. Garibaldi is a CPA and holds a BS in business administration and an MBA.
Jim manages all sales operations and customer relationships with both retailers and operators. Prior to joining the Company he was VP of Sales at Siemens Communications, responsible for the AT&T/Cingular account. He also spent 15 years at AT&T Wireless and its predecessor, McCaw Communications, managing retail and nationwide sales initiatives. Prior to McCaw, he was with Xerox for 12 years managing sales and product introductions in the northwest. He holds a BA from the University of Washington.
Mike joined the Company in 2005 to manage all manufacturing, distribution and logistics functions. Prior to Firefly Mobile he was VP & General Manager, Order Fulfillment (Supply Chain) of Agilent's test and measurement business. He started his career at Motorola, rising to the position of Director of Manufacturing with 6,000 employees and $7.4B in production revenue. He was instrumental in Motorola's shift to outsourced manufacturing, beginning in 1999. He moved to Flextronics as VP of Strategic Accounts in 2000, to manage the Flextronics - Motorola relationship. He holds a BSIE and an MBA.
Jeff joined the Company after 22 years at Motorola's cellular handset group. His last position at Motorola was Senior Director of North American Operations, responsible for business relationships with CDMA operators in the US. He had previously held positions in product development and account management for CDMA and AMPS (analog) products. He holds BSEE, MSEE and MBA degrees.
Andrew comes to the Company with considerable experience in developing strategic relationships for some of America's largest energy and telecomm firms. In 1990, Andrew co-founded an international consulting business in the energy sector, then joined Enron to lead its entry into Eastern/Central Europe where he closed over $130 million in infrastructure deals. He left Enron in 1996 to lead his own firm, developing communications infrastructure projects with Qualcomm. In 1999, he joined Convey Software, an enterprise software provider, as Senior VP of Sales and Business Development, concluding deals with companies such as Microsoft, GE, and eBay. More recently, Andrew has worked as Vice President for Luminow, a provider of enterprise software to call centers. He holds both a Master of Arts and an MBA from Stanford.
Neil joined the Company in 2006 to manage the MVNO business. Previously, he was Director of Corporate Strategy for NAVTEQ, the world's leading provider of location-based data, where he focused on location-based services for mobile device applications. He has also held positions at IBM's Business Consulting Services and in Motorola's Cellular Infrastructure Group. Neil holds a BSCS from Cornell University and an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Mike comes to Firefly with a diverse and accomplished sales background. At ASAP Software, he sold enterprise software solutions and managed large corporate accounts for product lines from Microsoft, Oracle, PeopleSoft, and Adobe. While at Psytronics and MRH Management, his independent manufacturer's representative business, Mike sold power quality control systems to a host of manufacturers, including Caterpillar, Ford, GM, and John Deere.
